Fraunhofer USA offers internships at our centers to university students during the course of their studies or starting within one year of the graduation from university. These practical internship opportunities are available to US citizens, permanent residents, and international students studying in the US or outside of the US who qualify under our J-1 visa program or have other US work authorization. Fraunhofer Center Midwest CMW 

The Fraunhofer USA Center Midwest CMW offers expertise in Materials Science, Laser technology and Coatings, Microelectronics, Biomedical and Environmental Sensors, and many other areas. The Center consists of two divisions, the Coatings and Diamond Technologies Division located in East Lansing, Michigan and the Laser Applications Division located in Plymouth, Michigan. 

Fraunhofer USA Center Mid-Atlantic CMA 

The Fraunhofer USA Center Mid-Atlantic CMA offers expertise in AI and Software Technologies geared towards Production technologies, Industry 4.0, IoT applications, Health, Transport & Logistics, and more. The Center is located in Riverdale, Maryland. 

Fraunhofer USA Center for Manufacturing Innovation CMI 

The Fraunhofer USA Center for Manufacturing Innovation CMI offers expertise in Automation of production technologies, energy and climate, resources technology, and Biotech. The Center is located in Brookline, Massachusetts.
